The Master Plan for Trinity Mead reflects ‘urban design’ principles, rather than the traditional ‘tree-like’ hierarchical development typified by much development layout of the last 20 years.

The aim at Trinity Mead is to provide a distinctive and characterful development to match the exceptional personality of the town of Stratford-upon-Avon.

The design-led approach of consortium partners Heron Land Developments, Stratford on Avon District Council and Bryant Homes has produced a detailed development design brief for Trinity Mead. Its aim is to set the tone for the whole scheme and provide guidance for housebuilders who will be providing the new homes.

The individual elements of the development are planned within the framework of infrastructure roads, public open space and social facilities, which are laid out in the Master Plan. The development will provide:

  • Over 700 dwellings

  • Links to Banbury Road, Rushbrook Road and the new Southern Relief Road

  • Retention of mature trees and hedges

  • Three distinct areas of affordable housing

  • Cycle, pedestrian and vehicle links * Integration of bus route * Public open space, including toddler play area

  • The much needed Southern Relief Road extension

  • Integration with Community Woodland

A series of individual quality public open spaces is also planned within the MasterPlan, and the new Community Woodland will contribute further to the recreational needs of the development and the wider community.
