Infrastructure works get underway at Trinity Mead

Infrastructure works have began at the new Trinity Mead new homes development in Stratford-upon-Avon

Work began this month on the internal road structures which will provide access for the first new homes to be built at the development. Eventually providing around 650 new homes, it is anticipated that the first homes will be released for sale early in 2003, from companies such as Bryant Homes, Westbury Homes, Barratt Homes and George Wimpey.

Master Plan for Trinity Mead reflects ‘urban design’ principles, and will provide a distinctive and characterful development to match the exceptional personality of the town of Stratford-upon-Avon.

A design-led approach of consortium partners Heron Land Developments, Bryant Homes and Stratford on Avon District Council, has produced a detailed development design brief for Trinity Mead to set the tone for the whole scheme.

The development will eventually provide:

  • Over 700 dwellings

  • Links to Banbury Road, Rushbrook Road and the new Southern Relief Road

  • Retention of mature trees and hedges

  • Three distinct areas of affordable housing

  • Cycle, pedestrian and vehicle links * Integration of bus route * Public open space, including toddler play area

  • Southern Relief Road extension

  • and integration with Community Woodland

A series of individual quality public open spaces is also planned, and the new Community Woodland will contribute further to the recreational needs of the development and the wider community.
