Trinity
Mead
Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwickshire...
Development land now all sold:
Trinity Mead is the principal new allocation to meet the
housing needs of historic town of Stratford-upon-Avon in
Warwickshire and will eventually offer over 700 new homes,
including affordable homes.
Development of the site was successfully promoted by a
consortium led by Heron Land Developments and iInfrastructure
work began on site in June 2002, with the first new homes
offered for sale at the start of 2003.
Building work on the site is now well advanced with homes
being offered for sale by leading developers including Barratt
Homes, Bryant Homes, Charles Church, George Wimpey, KingsOak,
Persimmon and Westbury Homes.
The
development of Trinity Mead was also accompanied by many
additional community benefits, including the provision of
the eastern extension to the Stratford Relief Road, the
establishment of new public open spaces, community woodlands
and meadowlands, and the inclusion of play areas, foot-ways
and cycle-ways.
Substantial financial contributions were also made towards
enhancing local public transport services, making highway
improvements (including changes to Stratford’s Arden
Street junction) and creating a cycle-path connecting the
development to Tramway Bridge. Bridgetown School also benefited
with significant new classroom and recreational facilities,
while the local fire and rescue service and even the provision
of public art features also received a financial boost.
The last parcel of land available from Heron Land Developments
at Trinity Mead was sold by in 2004.
The development was a joint venture between Heron Land,
Taylor Woodrow through its Bryant Homes brand and Stratford
on Avon District Council.
